Job Description

SSI seeks highly driven, enthusiastic and likeable candidates.  We are headquartered in Cranberry Township, PA; however, this position is for our Columbia, SC, office area.   A Bachelor’s degree is required, but there is no preference as to the major.  If you are competitive, ambitious, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and are financially motivated, SSI is the place for you! 

A new hire at SSI begins his/her career with the company as a recruiter.  Recruiters are often transition into an account manager/business development role.  Others may choose to further their development and move upwardly to become a recruiting delivery manager, a team lead, or a role yet to be created.

Recruiter Position

Responsibilities of our recruiters include:

  • Sourcing and screening IT, Engineering, and Professional candidates by conducting phone, video, and in-person interviews
  • Develop and maintain a pool of candidates through networking, use of job boards, and the company’s internal database
  • Completing references, negotiating offers, and ensuring start paperwork is done
  • Building relationships with current consultants
  • Developing sales skills in preparation for the sales/account manager promotion.

Sales and Account Manager Positions

This position requires an outgoing personality, focus, energy, determination, not taking “no” for an answer, a willingness to succeed, and an extremely competitive nature.   

The role of an account manager is to:

  • Build and maintain key relationships with hiring managers at Fortune 500, privately held corporations, and emerging growth companies as the go-to partner for their staffing requirements
  • Follow the SSI sales process to prospect in the assigned territory to target key decision makers at prospects and current accounts
  • Represent SSI at networking events
  • Use relationship-based selling to entertain clients at lunches, dinner, sporting events, golf outings, and social activites
  • Qualify job requirements, screen candidates, assist with on-boarding activities, and keep in close touch with the consultants that are billing at customer sites
